Way back in 2002 we had already lived in a world with a pretty darn good X-Men movie and the world couldn't wait to see what Hollywood would do with the beloved character, Spider-Man. So Hollywood did exactly what you'd expect them to do- Hire the guy who brought us EVIL DEAD. While not the conventional choice for director, Spider-Man would launch Sam Rami from low budget horror and sometime thriller director, to helming one of Marvel's biggest properties. But does 2002's Spider-Man live up to the gigantic hype it had back in the day? Has time made us more jaded or can we look back on this one with the glee of a more innocent super-hero movie going time?
